MURFREESBORO - September 29, 2008 - Main Street announces the return of The Boomers to Friday Night Live with a slight twist. Due to scheduling conflicts October's Friday Night Live will be October 17th. It's the usual time of 6:30 - 9:30 PM.
"We couldn't end the concert series for the season without allowing The Boomers to take us out in style," states Richard Gabel, Executive Director of Main Street: Murfreesboro/Rutherford County. "With September's rain out we hoped the band could return in October. The free concerts have become a highlight of the summertime. We are just easing into fall with October's concert," continues Richard Gabel. October in Murfreesboro is a great time to visit the heart of our community - historic downtown Murfreesboro. You will find great restaurants and unique shopping experiences. October concludes the free concert series Friday Night Live. On October 21 is Rally on Maple a Business After Hours Mixer hosted by Main Street, Rutherford County Chamber of Commerce, The Daily News Journal, and Pinnacle Financial Partners. Lastly, Trick or Treat around the Square is on Halloween from 3:00 - 6:00 PM.
The Boomers take the stage with their style of American blues and rock. Enjoy the flavor of ZZ Top, the Allman Brothers, and B.B. King. A crowd favorite, The Boomers is just the band to celebrate the approaching holiday season and conclude the successful free downtown concert series; Friday Night Live.
